Meet the instructor

Banks Torgerson

Banks is a Double Dawg through and through, with an MPH in Epidemiology and dual bachelor's degrees in Biology and Psychology.

While in grad school, Banks was a TA for Cellular Biology lab courses, creating instructional material to aid students in these difficult lab courses. As an undergrad, he researched STEM education, served as a Franklin College Student Ambassador, and was active in the Pi Kappa Beta honor society. Basically, he's been around campus and knows the academic grind inside and out.

Banks loves helping fellow Dawgs sharpen their problem-solving skills and build a real understanding of the material beyond just memorizing for the test. Whether you're gearing up for your exam, stuck on a homework set, or just trying to stay afloat in your science courses, Banks has been there and he’s here to help you succeed.
